Update on the Hindu Bull

I posted the Hindu bull three weeks ago, yesterday I cast another one, I made some minor changes to this one and cut the weight by half. The first one weighed 12 lbs, I thinned out the back a lot, this one weighs 6 lbs. The one I cast yesterday is on the right. I will still mount one, or maybe both on a 100 lb stone as pictured.
Again, the wax carving, the wax pre investing, the two bronzes and the old one sitting on the stone.

Very cool! I didn't know you did the bronze sculpture as well. Do you know Don Andrade, by any chance? He was a professional sculptor in bronze and stone near SLO before he turned his hand to bladesmithing. I think he taught for a while at one of the local CCs.

No, don't know him but I really don't know many people that do these things outside SoCal. We go to that area once in awhile maybe I can look him up.
I've done a bunch of bronze's, lots of work but there seems to be some money in it.
I have sold two of the Penguins and one feather this year.

If you do tell him Aaron says hi. He and I have the same bladesmithing teacher. The only difference is that he has talent and drive, and I have kids.

I like the bronze stuff a lot. Of course having made a few knives and done a little work in copper I lean towards the metal side of things. I can wrap my head around that. Your stonework on the other hand just leaves me gaping in a mixture of awe and befuddlement.
