Apple MacBook screen lighting
Anyone ever experience this lighting effect on an Apple. It did this and then would not boot up afterwards. Off to Apple repair now for the third time in 60 days. Not happy. The Apple sales reps in the store told me, "Well, it is an older laptop and the least expensive back in 2010 when it was purchased".

The older ibooks had a similar problem. The fix most of the time was to use a tea light candle or heat gun...
Fixing the infamous iBook screen problem Seems like you got the "talk down" from an apple genius... ![]()

Do you have a time machine backup of it? If so, if you have to get a new Mac, you can download all of your programs and data with ease. If you don't - well, I hope you don't have iimportant info on it...

Have backup but it's just the inconvenience that bugs me. The screen was replaced in the last round two months ago.
I was wondering if it was the HD as when trying to boot it didn't make the apple tone just wouldn't do anything, black screen. |
