Anyone using Virgin Mobile?
How's coverage, both in cities and out in the country? They supposedly use Sprint's network, (I'm on Sprint now), any other input? Thanks.

I've heard their service is really going down in flames lately.

I had Virgin mobile for several years.
I posted here recently about an episode that represents their service. I called a salvage yard in Mich. re: the purchase of an Abarth wheel - Fiat does not include any spare wheel w/their car. My call to them dropped 6 times one morning...I walked around my house and finally out into my backyard and still couldn't keep them on the phone. Finally, I was able to complete the transaction. A few days later, I bought Paul's (widgeon13) iPhone 5 and went with Cricket service. Not a problem since. Not one issue. I suffered through years unnecessarily with Virgin. I would advise against using their service - if one could even call it a service! Virgin mobile sucks the big one, IMO. Go online and look at the dissatisfied customers. |
I've had it for over a year now and love it. Service is exactly what it was like when I had Sprint... Good but not 'Verizon' good. 480 min/month/unlimited data for $35/month. They even threw me 2 FREE months for nothing! I may have been grandfathered into a plan that no longer exists. Fwiw, I'm in the NorthEast. YMMV--

Been w/virgin for 3+ years. Still love it. If anything, service has improved in that time.
