The cops should have told him: come back tomorrow when you're 'sober'

I have three daughters. And yes, a huge part of me agrees. But then we also have the "rule of law" and "innocent until proven guilty"... But hey if it is beyond reasonable doubt, I guess it saved taxpayer money... :)

I don't think we need to encourage people to go out and torture and kill based on allegations. There are men who have been thrown in jail after lengthy trials who have later been found to be innocent. The rule of law isn't perfect, but it's the best we have. Let's encourage people to respect it.

Otherwise I can't say I support vigillante justice, but if I was in charge of prosecution I wouldent be in any sort of hurry.

Cases like this are what jury nullification is all about in the USA.

I would think his daughter verified who got her pregnant so I would find no issues with what he did

When my daughter was a teenager, I pointed out to more than one boy that I owned 18 acres, a shovel, and a bag of lime. I think one asked me "What are the limes for?"

Dad could have turned the guy into burgers...ok maybe not. But if the rapist "confirmed" his crime and taunted Dad then I can't blame Dad for what he did. However I'm not a prosecutor.

That doesn't sound like the father had any doubt at all.

I think he should have tied him up first, used the thongs and then served him "h'orderves".

If it was a rapist of one of my children, he wasn't left alive long enough. There are certain things one can do to the human body that make you wish you would die. And those things would be carried out for sometime...a long time. Yes, I am in complete touch with my dark side and in certain circumstances I rival the devil with various aspects of evil. (also - there would be no genetic evidence to convict)

He is a murderer, he just murdered the guy who raped and impregnated his daughter. You did not read the article, did you.

rape in that part of the world is beyond common..
considered no big deal even..
as women are viewed as being just above the dog...
getting some notice outside as they started hitting on the tourist..
so while Dad was making his statement...
one of the investigators probably visited his daughter...
