What's 'wrong' with this picture?...1986 Le Mans

It's 1986...June...Summer.

Note what people are wearing...in June, almost 30 years ago.

When was the last time you watched Le Mans and seeing everyone bundled up in borderline Winter clothing?

Great picture. I wish that car would have been a more successful racer..

(It snowed on July 4 in Boise that same year! I remember the year, because the Statue of Liberty was re-opened and that's what we watched on TV instead of having a picnic....)

I'm thinking that is the chassis that burned to the ground the following year.

That's probably early morning based on the klag and bugs on the nose of the car... and it's overcast... overnight lows in the area average around 52 degrees in June.

That's "jacket weather" for most people.

I lived in England for a while in the mid-'90's. I have pictures of me at Stonehenge in July wearing a light jacket...and I remember still being cold. LA weather is much different than many parts of Europe :-)

I lived in Wiesloch, Germany for a few years. In mid May all four seasons could be experienced in one day. There is a reason the Porsche heating system fails to full hot.
