got kicked out of the restroom at the Doctort's office today
Went in for a check up on my broken collarbone this morning at the orthopedic place. I was in seriously need of using the bathroom, badly(blame the Starbucks across the street along with the long wait time). She sent me back and pointed at the hallway only to find the bathroom was occupied by someone along with a wheelchair sitting outside the door. I notice another restroom down the hallway about 10' away with its door open, so I go in there and lock the doors behind me only to experience what seem like the drug bust type knock on the door screaming, "open the door" from the other side. Damn it, put him back with one f'ked up arm and a full bladder about to burst. I open the door and this btich of a nurse starting yelling, I mean yelling that I was not to use that restroom. It for doctors only. She pointed, "can you read, you blind?" I decided to not wait because that wheelchair is still in that very same spot and rush out asking some nurse in uniform if there's restroom near by. She said, starbucks
 so off I go. I am back in the waiting room with all the old folks staring at me for a long time like I was some criminal. Finally I go in and she leads me to this room without saying one word and a bunch of dirty looks later, so I wish her a very nice day and that if there's was any drips in that bathroom, I was happy to clean it up for them (even though I haven't use the bathroom yet). Tell you the truth, I was blind and didn't see the tag on the door. My concentration was to not pee in my pants.You docs here have your own bathroom in your offices? she's just an idiot with an attitude, no big really. I found relief, that's what matters most. Now I am wondering if many of the doctor's office has a separate bathroom for themselves. Between the two bathrooms, they were the same damn thing, back to back, nothing special. I now at the hospitals, the cafeteria has a doctor's only section just like officers eat in a certain areas, now bathrooms at the doctor's?

I am sure the whole office heard, so what the hell for? Plus, my doctor is young, so I think she just works there and do not own the place. Maybe I need to find the seasoned old grouch doctors to have a chit chat ab out her attitude. I might next time I go there in 4 weeks. I bet the doctors give her, the crazy B, a hard time about patients using their bathroom, that's why I think she acted that way.

Explain that with your insurance billing, she can hire an illegal maid to clean 100 bathrooms.
Explain that any and all future bladder problems can be litigiously attributed to the actions of herself. Explain that a comparison of your relative wage differences leads you to believe you are of earthworm status compared to her quasi-deity status. Explain you would probably be a really big earthworm though. Explain this all while the stain on your pants runs down a leg. Counter-bill for ruined custom designer clothing and mental anguish. |

Well for one I would not have opened the door till I was done then walked right by her as she was yelling at me - treat her as if she wasn't there. Of course its easy to say what we would have done without actually lived in the shoes...but similar things happen to me from time to time (cuz I am a bit dumb or don't pay attention) and I never acknowledge any of them. I'm pretty sure most folks think I am mental incapacitated or really rude - I'm not, I'm just drifty...

That is totally unacceptable behavior by the nurse. I would have likely lost my temper right there, but even in hind sight, I would get her name and formally complain to the business owner. It isn't an auto repair shop that you can easily leave for another one, but having an ahole employee like that is in nobody's interest. Who knows, her supervisor may already have her on a performance improvement plan and this could be the last straw they have been waiting for to can her! The right thing to do for the nurse is to wait for you to leave the restroom and tell you "sir, sorry, just a heads up, this bathroom is not for patients, you probably didn't see the sign. I know you will be back with your bad shoulder, so next time please use the restroom down the hallway, you want me to show it to you ..." G |

Sounds like she has control issues, and the restrooms are one of her priorities. I would let the doctor know about her insecurities and social skills.
