Need a few good Android phone apps please

Old Samsung Galaxy S2 broke and got a cheap Samsun Galaxy Light.
I have a Pandora account and use that a lot for music and a clock radio but would like to add.
1. I had a good radio app but don't remember what it was.
2. I had some kind of music player preferably something that does podcasts too.
3. I had some type of memory manager app that showed me what was running and allowed me to shut it down.

The old phone was a couple years old the few apps I used most I have totally forgotten what they were called.

Thanks,
Scott

Are you an Amazon Prime member? If so, you can stream and/or download over 1 million songs as part of your membership. There are also playlists that have already been created.

I'll have to check that out. I've got Prime. Now I mostly use the free version of Pandora, but an alternative might be nice too.

For music, what about the stock app? Or Winamp?

I've never used a radio app, but my phone came with SlackerRadio. No idea if it's any good.

I also have an app called "task manager" that seems to work well. There are a ton of them out there.

SwiftKey. Best phone keyboard ever.

Yeah, and my big thing here is to try to downsize... had my Galaxy S2 for a couple years and it was getting overloaded with redundant apps, and we all know how much "bloat" they come preloaded with.

My wife is amazon prime but I'm not... I have a Pandora account and it is pretty good for my music needs. That and tuneIn radio for local radio (found that radio app that was on my old phone with... wait for it, a google search)

Looking for a good task manager, reading reviews it seems some do more damage than good, recommendations anyone? infolife and sand studio have good reviews.

I have Systempanel Lite, as a task manager, another really neat app is Tasker, which lets you automate functions on your phone based on certain criteria.

I have one task that turns off data, and turns on wifi when I am at home, and it turns off wifi and turns on data when I am away from home.. based on GPS location...Its a little complicated to make the "tasks" there are a number of fhow to guides online.

You can add many devices to one Prime account. We have multiple ipads, Kindles, and phones all accessing one account.

My experience has been that if I can't remember the name of the app when switching to a new device... that it wasn't worth my time in the first place.

But then won't her 1001 free romance novels upload to my phone?

I was going to type that in green... but maybe I'm not kidding...

I am amazed at how often I use a flashlight app. I wouldn't pay for one though. I use a scientific calculator, the app name is RealCalc. Some form of note taking, I use ColorNote. AppGratis or Amazon Appstore both offer a free app of the day, mostly games but sometimes a more useful app.

Root your phone and install Titanium Backup and AdBlock Plus . If you're a proper bastard like I am, WifiKill

They will be available to your phone, but will only download if you choose them. If my wife buys a book on amazon, I can see it in the library. It only appears on my phone if it click on it to download. Only real issue is if you're both trying to read the same book. Each device will want to sync to the farthest read page.

If you log into your google account in the playstore, you can see all of the apps you've ever downloaded.

For a week or so while her phone was in the shop I lent her mine and just did without (you can tell how addicted I am to my phone) when I got it back some CD's I had bought were auto loaded to the music library. I had no idea how they got there, is that because she logged onto her Amazon prime with my phone? (that was my old phone).
