Sneaky spam virus
I just received a virus alert. My anti-spam detected it and killed it and the mail administrator sent me a virus warning about it as well.
It was supposed to be from Best Buy and it was a order confirmation. I had not bought anything from Best Buy so I knew it was bogus. I flushed it to the spam box and then noticed I had 40 spam messages. Another message was supposed to be from Costco with a order confirmation. Pretty smart on the spammers part. Cyber Monday. Millions of folks ordering on-line and expecting a email confirmation of an order. Fu**ing spammers. My anti virus program did the job. Be careful out there. |
Which anti virus program?

We use Norton 360. It has stopped many attacks. We have never had any infections at all. We have it on all 14 computers in the office.

I got one yesterday, and my wife on Friday. The senders address was a ".ru". Dead giveaway and quick flush.

I got it too......the address smelled fishy. I didn't order anything, red flag. Deleted, ass bags.
