Need an e-mail newsletter service

I run a biking group and I need to send out a weekly or so e-mail to ~150 people.

My e-mail service does not like this, so I've had to break it up into two groups. A few of the people on the list do not get the e-mails everytime due to SPAM considerations.

It was suggested I get "Contant Contact". I checked it out but it runs $240 per year. Too much money!

Any other services? I'd be OK with something like $5 per month.

Mailchimp.

For that small a group it's free and works just fine.

I saw that service. I'll check them out again.

MailChimp for ease of use. Vertical Response has a pay by use program for a few cents per email. Both have templates that work on multiple devices.

My son-in-law has a PHD in Computer science and works for Google. When I asked this same question earlier this year, his answer was: This is what Google groups is for. No cost....
