Cool Westy

Saw this on the way in to the office this morning. I was hoping my camera would "stop" the wheels and it did. :D

I've been thinking about getting into something like this for a long time - would make a great roving battle platform for some of the long distance shoots I'm planning to attend in the area in the coming years. The ride height may look extreme, but some of the places I end up shooting at aren't exactly accessible with a vehicle sporting "modern" clearance.

It almost looks like they put it on a synchro chassis, what is that, Ravenna Green?

I couldn't tell ya. I'm totally ignorant on these things, except that I know they're generally called "Westys". :D

You could run a Porsche in that one and have some go power. Maybe it has one now.

Not sure that Fuchs like that bolt to the newer chassis but if it is, it would be water cooled so it could run a Subaru.

The newer ones that are liquid cooled are easy to put a Subaru in, and you don't even have the smog crap problem we have here.

Yes, the 89, white one with Subaru was mine, the blue one with the Porsche in it Belongs to a Porsche shop in San Clemente, Bill Brewster. It's a 3.2 out of an 89.
