The Holiday Season Begins
For the past 15 years I have marked the start of the Holiday Season the Sunday after Thanksgiving by making homemade fudge to give out to my customers, employees and friends. This year I have four different versions starting with my wife's grandmothers original recipe.
Next up is a coffee and macadamia nut with dark chocolate 3rd is a dark chocolate topped with salted caramel sauce Lastly is a Dark Bitter Chocolate Fudge made with Stout. I'll make roughly 120 pounds this year. The Stout comes from a friends brewery just down the road from me in Carpinteria. He just opened last month. ![]()

That looks like a reason to travel to Santa Barbara and buy something.

Dude!!
Yer killin' me over here. The missus and I love chocolate (especially dark) and fudge and Stout (and chocolate stout). So, what's the website for your fudge sales website? Now I'm going to have to scour Houston looking for something similar, and I tihnk I'm going to come up wanting.

Ok, I cranked out 40lbs on Sunday and tonight this is my first 10lbs of 30. This one is another stout infused product. I handed out the other batches already this week to customers. Each get between a pound or two along with a bottle of red wine or stout depending on their tastes.
A pic of tonight's fisrt 10lbs ![]()

So that last batch of Stout did not set good and I ended up with 10lbs of loose chocolate that had some great stout flavor. So I let it sit and today I opted for homemade brownies with Stout Fudge Frosting. Damn they are good but terrible for the waste line!
![]() Tomorrow night I start again as I need more stout and chocolate

Wow! Dan sent some of the wife's grandmother's original recipe fudge and some of the dark chocolate stout fudge to me that arrived today (as well as a T-shirt for his business and a free dimmer switch all at his expense). The fudge is really, REALLY tasty. It's even better than it sounds and looks. I'm going to be huge, happy, but huge after eating it all.
Thanks tons, Dan!
