On a lighter note... BSG
Anyone else enjoy Battlestar Galactica? I'm almost embarrased, but I LOVE this show!

Best show I've seen in a LONG time, and the only show that I consistently look forward to. They do a great job of portraying a civilization that's very similar to but different from ours. I like that it's an adult show, too. It's not for kids.

![]() At the risk of more embarrasment... Do you have a take on whether #6 (the hot blond cylon) is in the doctor's imagination, artificially implanted in his brain, something else??? - Skip

Hell I didn't even know they had done a remake of the old series. Guess is it on the Sci-Fi channel?

Hard to tell if #6 is implanted of just a product of psychosis. I really don't know. That's what's so cool about the show - it's able to walk that fine line that keeps you guessing. Either explanation is plausable.
The whole tie-in with religion is getting interesting. I'm starting to think that the Cylons see themselves as half of the Adam and Eve equation. Maybe Caprica Boomer is pregnant, and they want to start a new mixed race? Interesting stuff. Dealing with genocide and religion in this context could have been so badly bungled, and yet it just works.

I love the show too. Funny thing is, so does my wife. She'll stop watching Lifetime just to catch BSG.

So when does Baltar move over to a Cylon Mothership? Or do you think this series is following a completely differrent path, and he will always be on the Galatica?

There is a basic flaw however...They are having trouble telling the humanoid Cylons from real people.
In such an advanced technology, they must have overlooked the x-ray machine. I was OK with it up to then. My favorite is still Stargate SG1...Love the references to "The Wizard of Oz" not to mention that the show "explains" a lot of the so-called "mysteries" of ancient civilizations.

Moneyguy, the new Cylons are supposedly identical right down to the cellular level, making xray tests (and a bunch of biological tests) inconclusive. Though it's never explained why/how they seem to have superhuman strength. Okay, now I'm starting to sound like one of those guys you'd see at a Star Trek convention wearing Spock ears. Have a good night everyone.

![]() I figure some of the cylons will have to be shockers. Maybe Starbuck??? My wife & I have discussed Roslyn as a possible contender. Moneyguy- My wife LOVES SG1, so I end up watching it too. We also watch SG Atlantis, which I enjoy as well... BSiple- I kind of almost remember something about dome head & lights... Off to the TiVo now to watch!!! ![]() - Skip I'm such a nerd!

Great show. So was the original show for the time. An interesting thing about the original show is that, at that time, it was by far the most expensive tv show ever produced. The thing cost more per episode than anything before or after for a while. Heck, they even had John Williams do the score. It took Miami Vice to beat those costs. The modelling on the show was a class act. In fact they used the same model designers that Lucas used in Star Wars. All Art Center graduates trained in auto design I believe. That's why those Vipers and Cylon ships looked pretty cool. The beauty of the new show is that it is intended for an adult audience and nothing less.
