USAA using biometric authentication
Face recognition on USAA. Why are other financial institutions not using this and is it more secure than other methods.
They also have the option of voice recognition. |
Face Recognition is very difficult to defeat. It works even if the person is wearing a fake beard or sunglasses.
I'd be more than OK if my bank started using this added security measure. |
Works well even when I have glasses on.
|
How are you using that? I dont see that feature anywhere on the USAA site.

It came to me via an update to the app on my iphone6. I didn't have to do anything on the computer website. Give them a call if you are having difficulty finding it.
|
Ah, as an iPhone app it would be a great security step.
|
I haven't seen any evidence of it in the website on my laptop. I still need to sign in by password. I use the iPhone most of the time. Much more convenient.

Hmm, Im using an iPhone 5 and dont see it on the app either. Maybe its a limited roll out. How do you set it up? In other words how does USAA know what the real you looks like to begin with? |
Haven't seen it as an option on my 4S. Will see if it's available on the 6 I'm getting later this week
|
I have been using the four digit code to log in and did nothing special to access the biometrics. It just came up as an option and I figured I'd try it.

False security!
Cameras are everywhere. 3D splicing is simple and cheap. Like a finger print lifted from a restaurant glass orr in Target's database. 3DPF: Japanese Company Creates Super-Realistic 3D Face Replicas | TechCrunch http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1418684996.jpg |
