Magnificent!

I enjoy thinking about the power a single word can have - it's value when applied to everyday life.

A few favorites:

Excellence (as in a concept to achieve)

Respect (as in something to offer)

Honor (as in something to offer)

(and my latest) Magnificent (as in a standard to achieve)

What are some of yours?

they are real, and they are magnificent!

Fabulous! (Declared loudly with a flamboyant flair). Works awesome in sports bars.

Mercenary is a word that carries value and I find useful at times to convey a particular vibe.

Such as "That's a mercenary approach but sometimes that's what it takes."

Fantastic or stupendous. Best used with an evil grin.

Phylotimo.

"Philotimo (also spelled filotimo; Greek: φιλότιμο) is a Greek noun translating to "love of honor".
However, philotimo is almost impossible to translate sufficiently as it describes a complex array of virtues."

I like magnificent........ Many years ago I worked with an older gentleman that used that word. He often said " I had an erection a week ago Tuesday, it was magnificent "!
