Courtesy service announcement- Stores selling faux fur actually REAL!
Not here to debate the ethical use of fur clothing articles but about getting duped on what the label says and paying for.
Out shopping the other night, looked at some beautiful scarves labeled as faux. But they sure looked incredibly natural, felt real plus had flaws that one would find of a pelt. I questioned it and my wife was convinced it was real. We looked at the label and it noted as 100% faux fur. So anyhow, just caught a news clip regarding the numerous 'REAL' fur clothing articles being sold in the US but labeled as fakes! Now I'm convinced the ones we looked at were indeed REAL. Nieman Marcus is notorious for it including a few years ago getting busted and fined. A boot supplier that Nieman Marcus sells is at it once again. Apparently its cheaper for China to make the apparel with real fur (rabbit dyed fur, raccoon dog) than it is to make fake. Its even advertised and sold online as faux, but even crazier, is real fur and the label will state it is OR is not. Its like they don't give ****z. Enjoy your Christmas shopping!
