put foot in my mouth, now my kid might have to pay
I was 5 min late picking up my boys from school yesterday during the rain storm( yeah I know, LA storm?) When I arrived at the class I noticed both were like a wet dog hauling some type of homemade rain gauges back into the classroom from the yard two pieces at a time. I wanted to go home and have them out of the rain. One said, we can't go yet, we have to bring all of them back for my teacher. So I yelled out, " All that, why doesn't she pick them up herself, we gotta to go", as they run back into the rain to pick up more? I help take it off their hands and put them into his class only to find the teacher texting on her phone with her legs up on the desk. I was met with a dirty look because I am sure she heard me. Hopefully my kid don't have to put up with her crap because me. Yes, this is the same btich that busted him for throwing away his pencil. I wished I kept my big mouth shut and do what my wife does, think it and they will understand.

She's actually a hottie LakeCleElum. I don't want to make her life difficult. An incidence already happened with my kid and I felt it was unfair, but I let it go because it was a small hump on the road like some mentioned here (thanks for the tip guy, btw). I posted this about putting my foot in my mouth so you guys can have a little laugh on me. I just can't seem to get away from her.

My kid tossed a broken pencil into the trash can and some kid in class got hold of it and started to deface the back of the classroom. I was called into the principle's office to deal with his problem. Something really stupid IMO. I ask the teacher a couple questions, and let it go. I really wanted to rip her a new one because she knew my kid had been in front of the room right next to her throughout the day, but dragged into it because they used his broken pencil. Anyway, I don't want her to feel that I have something against her by shouting out why she isn't doing her job (my kids were drenched picking up stuff for the class after school and she's texting with her legs up on her desk). I simply just wanted to pick up my kids and go home out of the rain. I hope she doesn't give my kid a hard time for the rest of the school. That would suck for him to have to pay because I was shouting out my big mouth.

I am going to generalize here, but many of these elementary or teachers in general are pretty sensitive about things people say. They have ears especially made to pick up stuff like that from a distance. They sure ain't like us here. We have thick skin like elephants. |

Lets see now you have two kids who got soaking wet doing a teachers bidding, while she remains high and dry while texting? Hmmm doesn't sound like she was looking out for the childrens welfare, now does it? The question becomes, is it reasonable for a parent to be concerned about his childrens welfare and express that concern? The answer is you can raise holy he11 with that school for having a teacher who is so unconcerned about the welfare of her charges that she puts them at risk.
