No. A couple of emails. They can wait. But I did make Nanaimo Bar & Shortbread cookies. And Hungarian beef stew for dinner with the wife's parents . . .

Hungarian Goulash?

Made a giant pot Monday night. Had some for lunch today.

My basic recipe, cube a roast, toss in a bag of flour with Paprika, fresh ground black pepper and some cayenne.

Chop then sauté a yellow onion in the bottom of a pot and add beef stock and more paprika.

Brown outside of beef in a pan and toss in pot.

Cook low and slow for a couple of hours then start finishing the seasoning, more paprika, some tomato paste, more pepper till it's right.

Just before the end comes the heavy cream.

Soo good.

Worked a little while. Not making any money though. I spent the latter half of the day making a couple of small metal shelves to hold the aerosol cans, and fluid bottles on the cabinet door of my tactical nuclear tool cart.

Technically I'm AT work, but I think my productivity for the day has all been used up.

I'm working on a buzz, does that count?

No. Pörkölt. Essentially a beef stew but the only vegetables are onion & green pepper.* A heavy dose of good Szeged paprika . . . although I slipped some csipos in as well (hot paprika).

I have physically occupied my desk for the past two days as my boss required. I haven't had any real work to do, as everyone else is out, but my boss decided I had to be there, just in case.

I did work today - not the entire day.

Felt good.

I love working.

No eggnog needed.....I stay high on life!

I'll heas into the shop in a bit and work on some shift knobs tonight. Don't celebrate Christmas, so it's just another day for me.

In the surgical center waiting to open presents with my wife. Poor girl had to work a 24hr shift. Currently has 'Emily' under anesthesia because she swallowed some batteries.

Nope. Planned on being off from Dec. 15 to Jan. 5, but had to go to the office on the 22nd and the morning of the 23rd. Now - recovering from two Christmas celebrations and getting ready for a wedding.
