Guess the damage in $$$...
Was parking my RX350 in a hotel garage in Victoria BC and did this. Misjudged. What do you think the quote is to fix 1) without removing the front bumper and 2) with removing the front bumper?

Last month my folks are stopped in sgl left turn lane to get on freeway. Guy to right has indicator on to turn left from the thru lane...motions if ok to turn in front of them, Pop motions him around. Guy cuts it too close and tags my folks Bentley on the driver's front w/ his rear. Quote for repair...$6,300 U.S. Damage is superficial according to the folks.

Our neighbour did almost exactly the same thing to the rear bumper of our 05 325 backing out of his driveway. $600 before tax. They removed, saved and repainted the bumper. Flawless repair - you'd never know it was damaged.

Wife did that to her Acura (twice)......thru Ebay, I got a color matched piece to my door for about $350 US and myself - one front and one rear....the color match was perfect. The fit was pretty good; not perfect......

Slap a Pelican sticker on it...
Good to Go! |
My black pick-up truck has quite a few chips and scrapes colored in with a Sharpie pen.
As long as you don't look with a magnifying glass, looks fine. Good enough for an old truck. |
When my wife had her Camry, she hit a coyote on the way to work one morning. Dented in the right corner of the bumper pretty well. I took it for an estimate & the guy wanted $1,400 to replace it & paint it. I bought a bumper at Toyota for $150 & paid a shop $300 to spray it. Had to fix the mount for the windshield spray bottle when I remounted the new one. That scrape should not run over $400 to $500 at a shop.

$100 for sanding the scratches and wrapping the whole bumper in black matching vinyl!
|
$300 on low end mediocre job, no removal. Done properly around $500, removed, cut and buffed.

Hit a deer on the way home...$300 deductible.
