I'm going to recommend a very pale sage green, tablecloth of the same shade of green, but a much darker hue.
You have enough white woodwork to keep it from looking institutional. |
Another color that will look really nice, calming and not over the top is another Behr's Buffalo Grass. Its a greenish olive color.

I would think gold or a silver might not be too good because it would clash with the color of your lighting fixtures (they look like a light brass), though you could change them too. I'm partial to colors like coppers, leather browns, sage/leaf/moss greens and some others you probably wouldn't be interested in either. I have seven different colors on the walls in my house. I bought 8 or 12 oz. samples of colors I was interested in and put swatches on the walls and next to each other where transitions to other colors occurred. That eliminated some colors and made me try more different ones. I'm assuming you are repainting the red you mentioned. You could get samples of colors and paint portions to see how they look. You could even paint striped combinations. Looks like it's not a large area to paint. You will just be painting over them anyway after you've made your choice(s).

Let her paint it whatever she wants.

I'm disappointed in you guys. The obvious choice is baby-poo yellow!

I hate to be this guy but......I like the Red over White you have now.

Valspar Blizzard Fog
Sherwin Williams Shaker Beige IDK wtf would think black is a color for a dining room but its not. As others already stated, the trim work needs to be complimented, not contrasted. some yellow mixed with browns, rendering a rich mustard, might be nice |
