Anyone getting tired of that bluewalmart ad

on top of the page that keeps blocking the threads? annoying.

I don't have it, just one ad in the white space on the top and it blocks nothing. Might be your settings and ad blocker, or lack of

I use an ad blocker so never see ads on the forums.

porsche4life 01-04-2015 09:29 AM

Yup. Adblock plus keeps the ads away nicely. :)

I think the ads are targeted. My banner ad is for cars.com. Typical of internet advertising, the ads are always trying to sell me the thing I've already bought.

Second forum where I have heard that complaint today.

No adds here, but when my computer crashes, and I have to log back into Pelican, there are adds that show between every response up until I enter my credentials.

Made the mistake of checking out the new Infiniti's....a moment of boredom. Now they're haunting me. Popping up above and almost everywhere else I go. May never consider Infiniti again! Ugh...

I have the "Asian Women Want To Date You" ad.

Gogar 01-04-2015 04:12 PM

Yesterday I was getting some weird stuff when I clicked the "back" button; an ad would pop up and get in the way. Gone today.

This little appliance will knock out ads for every device on your entire network, unlike software-based adblockers that needs to be on every device (and are not available for iOS phones or iPads, where I do most of my home browsing).

blocking the threads? I've never seen such a thing; and I'm not running any special ad-blocker.

sounds like an ad virus.
