That was excellent.

These are common public service campaigns in Nicaragua and other Central America counties. In Nic, it's illegal to kick a dog, but not to punch out your wife?…and violence against women is out of control. There are anti-domestic violence billboards along every highway. I'm glad to see these aimed at educating young boys.

Because that's the way we "real" Italians roll. We're lovers not fighters....unless of course there's a strike going on. ;)

Shocking

I was laid off years ago, and had a temporary job working in a bingo hall. After bingo, folks would come play the equivalent of electronic slot machines. One night, one of the Hispanic ladies that worked in the snack bar stayed and was playing the slots. Her husband came in, I could smell the beer on him as he walked several feet behind me. He left, apparently, went out to the car. He came back about 30 mins later, I was busy and didn't notice. I heard a commotion and one of the ladies said "he hit her go get the cop." (we paid an off duty cop to provide security). When the cop came in, he asked the guy "did you hit her?" The guy's answer was "she's my wife". Yeah, as you can imagine, that was NOT a valid answer on this side of the border. Fortunately, I think it was an open handed slap, and not a punch, but still.... I don't know if the guy was Mexican. We have folks here in Houston from all over Central and South America.
