Sammy, the info about the Bon-Ami is true. When we used to race a small block Chevy in the "D Gas" drag racing class that was how the rings got seated quickly. It had 14.5 to 1 compression ratio so it needed all the help it could get! The Milford Delaware dealer where the owner of the car worked had done this a few times. I think it not needed any longer as ring material has greatly improved as well as no carbs that dump fuel while the engine is cranking.
