Bus driver should have given the stick or bat to the woman and let her have a go at it. That driver should get a raise.

Something tells me he won't try that again. How many millions would our legal and prison system spend to try and "rehabilitate" him? I think a man with a stick is far more effective.

From being clubbed, straight to a cop when the door opens. I guess his plan didn't work out so well.

Shame the bus driver didn't make a bit more of an effort at it........... punkin shot a couple of times would have been a real treat to watch.

The smacks on the back would suck but several on the forearm and a few in the hand would really sting! all the while having a hand caught in the door...

In Ohio the thief would plead guilty and be given a fine and time in jail - all suspended (ie no penalty) and the bus driver would have been fined $160 for reckless driving and have his driver's license suspended until he paid the fine. Ask me how I know.

In this scenario, there is no grey area- dude tried to steal purse. Got the beating he deserved. Its on video. Someday when I am the supreme benevolent ruler of the world, this would be viewed as a good day. Driver would get dinner with me. We would have strip steaks, sweet potatoes, and he would get a cool medal. The perpetrator, who through this ordeal is now certainly rehabilitated, would be our server and would be paid minimum wage and then in a final lesson I would take the money back from him and send him away.

The guy got what was coming to him but in our privileged society the driver (although he did show restraint) would be in serous trouble with the cops.
