The guy he shot richly deserved it. That photo and film clip don't bother me at all.

I didn't see the clip but the story of that photo was told to me by the nephew of the shooter, who's a friend of a friend. I ran into him at my friend's gun shop, one day. I seem to recall the guy being shot was part of a VC attack and had been the one to pull the trigger on the shooter's brother. Upon capture, the shooter did what I think most of us would prefer to do, were we in that same position.

this. the picture only shows a moment of extremis. it does not show that the man being shot was a traitor and caught red handed. as i recall, he was personally responsible for the deaths of many directly due to his traitorous acts.
