Ever had one of those days...

where you head out into the world to run a few errands and realize that you should probably turn around and just stay home?:(

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Crowbob 01-17-2015 09:09 AM

Usually that only happens to me on Mondays thru Sundays.

scottmandue 01-17-2015 09:12 AM

I'm at work so yes... most definitely!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

About a month ago i was feeling like crap but headed off to work anyway.
I pulled into the parking lot and found a spot, and just leaned my head back for a few seconds.
I woke up 2 hours later, reached for the phone and called in sick. From the parking lot.
Then I drove back home (33 miles).

I call in sick about once evey 5 years so I should be good for a long time.

I am not feeling sick, just aggravated with everything and everyone today. I don't know why.

I am going to have a Marlboro+a cup of coffee and go to the garage and start stripping the paint from the 911 wheels.

Gotcha. Sometimes people suck more than anybody.

OOTDs

Yep, had one yesterday. I found out that my Great Pyr dog has a torn ligament in a back leg. It can be fixed but is quite expensive. Oh well, I did not need those PMO carbs anyway!

t-tom 01-19-2015 12:14 AM

Yup I'm having one right now! It's 3:14am I've got it coming out of both ends, my 11 year old daughter is throwing up as well. Fun fun fun

Porsche-O-Phile 01-19-2015 01:18 AM

I feel for you guys. I've been sick and rather irritable for the last week or so. Rotten, rotten, rotten. Not the flu although I was coughing so hard at one point it made me puke. Just a horrible cold. Sounds like what you guys have is a lot worse. Hope you feel better. Best!

Oh Haha 01-19-2015 03:31 AM

Best wishes to you guys suffering from sickness. I can't use that as an excuse as I am not sick.

My day got better. I was just in a pi$$y mood for no reason, I guess.

I spent time on my 911 wheels stripping the paint and baked cookies with my kids.

I have those woke up looking for a fight and don't know why days from time to time. I usually stay home, inside, away from the world. I hate those days

sc_rufctr 01-19-2015 04:03 AM

I work from home so most days are good and I get lots done. (I do go out to see clients a lot)
My day starts with getting up early. I make some strong coffee and check my over night emails.

But sometimes I go on site and wish I could just walk away. I simply feel tired. I've been doing this for a long time.

What can you do? What options do you have?

PorscheGAL 01-19-2015 04:09 AM

That is just a symptom of being a stay at home parent(15 years for me). You also found the way to snap out of it: a project and a fun activity with the kids. Keep going. You are doing a great job, DAD.

Oh Haha 01-19-2015 04:27 AM

Thanks Stephanie! I guess I didn't see it that way.

I did get to hear my wife admonish the ADT installation guy at her work later that day. She had to lock up after they were done installing security cameras. From what I heard they did NOT do it correctly. I was nice that it wasn't ME that farked it up.:D

fastfredracing 01-19-2015 05:48 AM

Glad to hear I am not the only one. Sometimes, I just wake up with zero tolerance for any bullcuckie. Those always seem to be the days where my life is full of bullcuckie. I find if I just buck up, and get through the first few tasks, it gets easier.

herr_oberst 01-19-2015 06:03 AM

It happens to me on occasion, and it's almost like a primal need to be in a bad mood.

Fortunately, it doesn't happen too often, but when it does, the guilt from lashing out at unsuspecting victims just makes the situation ten times worse.
