If you think it's bad now, just wait until the 'Internet of Things' really kicks in. In the not-so-distant future, all your household appliances, and yes, even your car, will be pitching you ads for all sorts of stuff you never even realized you needed.
The great marketing machine was recently disappointed by Google's decision to stop selling Googleglass. Their hopes for running a constant stream of advertizing in front of you all day long have been dashed...at least for the time being.
