Went to the MD RV show today (missed the VA one). Very helpful. Could see what the actual dimensions were for a ton of trailers without going all over the place. The "hybrid" ones seem to be a nice compromise. Fixed roof, but pop outs for the bedding. The dealers all said rent to figure out what (if anything you want). I figure with a fixed roof, I could take the doggies with us.
One thing I learned was that a lot of folks that own them, just take a lot of long weekends 2-3 hours away. I always think of long far away vacations. There is a place near me that I'll go see and find out more information...I think they rent them as well.
