New beer you've had

Was at the liquor store tonight looking for some grüner veltliner, didn't have it, so I looked around wanting a milk stout but found this. Fantastic stuff. Different from anything else I've ever had.

Innis & Gunn Toasted Oak IPA. It was like if you mixed port with beer, in a good way.

Had any new, great beer?

I cranked out a nice Pilsner taking advantage of the cold weather...

The root cellar in my house stays at around 50 deg.... good for lager yeast....

Tons of new beers. I'm not much of a beer guy, but due to circumstances beyond my control I've been in a lot of micro breweries lately. If you have to buy in a bottle, Founders Breakfast Ale is superb.

Was at the Big Head Todd show last week here in LA and the well-endowed Asian barkeep urged me to try Allagash White.

I tried She been Brewing's Black Hop IPA the other day....really nicely executed. A nice, rich coffee and caramel note without sacrificing the light, hoppiness of a well-balanced IPA.

She was wearing a low cut (and tight) top. 👌 She was very accommodating, giving me little samplers of various stuff they had on tap.

I had Saigon beer on a train in Vietnam last week. It was pretty nasty, as is most beer.

New to me and exceedingly satisfying!!!!!
My Wife, daughter and soon to be son-in-law were sitting at the bar of a restaurant waiting for our table New Years Eve and I struck up a conversation with the bartender. He recommended Ayinger's 'Celebrator' (on tap) ended up being my drink of choice for the night and many more as things have turned out. Hard to find; from a very small Bavarian brewery. Google it if interested and they list were its' available.

Looks like great stuff Robert, I'll have to find some.
