Geometric Object Challenging Truths Of Universe - Business Insider

My feeble mind is trying to get to the bottom of this article and well...I am not getting it.

A bottle of wine in.

I'm no help.

Stop by tomorrow, I'll make coffee and we can bust out the boys erector set and see if we can figure it out.

Crazy stuff. The locality part blew my mind. Action at a distance??? WOW.

I got nothing...

I got the larger picture.

"Some insanely smart young guys managed to simplify a vast number of equations into a simple one that can be expressed as a geometric form."

Well I guess I better pull my old amplituhedron out of the bedside drawer after all these years.....guys are now using them in the quest for Quantum Gravity!!!!

I skimmed it and got similar

I would have to think that as frustrated as I get ay my job explaining things to people and getting stuff accomplished....I would never survive a place like that. Where a mere .000001% of the population gets what you're talking about (and likely they are all egghead dicks) and accomplishments take years....and nobody cares. But I approach that kind of challenge with my mind...the same mind that can't comprehend why people want to spend all day every weekend watching football. And then more football.

Dude, all I know is put a razor under your Ronco Amplituhedron and it stays sharp forever.

The space-time elements and probabilities of shaving disappear...this thing kick Pyramid a$$, Bro.

I'm having trouble understanding this too.

I'm in the same boat as others - this article is gonna take more than a couple of re-reads before I am able to achieve some minimal level of comprehension -
maybe tomorrow, after the (stupor) Bowl game

Cheers
