Wallet Style Phone Cases
I have not carried a traditional wallet in 25+ years. Ever since my Chiropractor told me part of my recurring back issues were due to the overstuffed wallet I spent all day sitting on.
Over the years i used money clips and smaller card wallets that fit in my front pocket. Was never really pleased so for the last 10 years or so I resorted to carrying my license and a couple of cards loose in my pocket. Caused the cards magnetic strips to wear prematurely so even that had it's issues. Couple of years ago waiting for the wife I spot a wallet style case in my local Office depot, $20.00, figured cheap enough to try it out. Turned out to be the best thing ever. Upgraded my iPhone 5 to a 6 a couple of weeks ago and had been on the hunt for a similar case. Was having no luck then found this guys stuff on Amazon. Amazon.com: SHOP-LEATHER: Cell Phones & Accessories New case just showed up and this thing is spectacular. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are first rate. It even smells right, leather with a light oil odor and a hint of burnt wood. He makes cases for a lot of popular phones. If you are in the market for a wallet style case give them a look. Worth every penny at twice the price. Just make sure to order one fulfilled through Amazon or it can take a couple of weeks to show up. |
If you can, post some pics of the case in real life. It looks very interesting. Thanks.

Had to take the phone out to grab pics.

Why not get a purse or fanny pack :)

I like the texture of the leather and it seems to have as many pockets as practical. Cool.

That is tits!
Leather looks supple...nice. |
saw it in person today, very impressive...I gotta get me one

Pretty, but a bit too much like a murse to suit me. One of the big IPhone 6 selling points for me over the bulky 3 I was carrying was that it as very thin and lightweight. My case is paper thin and allows me to slip my phone into the inside breast pocket of my suit, raincoat, or winter coat. I would probably have to carry something bigger in my hand and would eventually leave it somewhere...with ID, credit cards, cash, etc. although it looks nice and is somewhat rugged and masculine, IMHO, that case is better suited to being carried in a ladies' purse.
|
You should google Murse so you know what it is.
This case slips into any jacket pocket as well as pants pocket. Length and width are minimally increased. It is thicker which for those of us with large manly hands makes it easier to hold. YMMV. |
Looks to me like the package in your photo is about twice the thickness of the I Phone once you add the ID, credit cards, etc...even more so (and heavy). It would hardly fit in the breast pocket of a suit without a significant bulge.
The purse strap to tether it to dainty wrists probably helps ladies hold on to it when they go powder. Great for those less than manly hands. |

LOL... My suits are perfectly tailored, that is why I prefer a slimmer phone.
You will see when you grow into your's. Nothing wrong with that case. I looked at them myself, but decided I prefer a slimmer (and cheaper) one. I would have to carry that one like an organizer or checkbook. Something a thin, smart phone freed me from. I am sure it suits your lifestyle perfectly. It is a nice looking item. Just not as functional for my purposes. |

That is not different than what I initially posted. I did not mean to hurt your feelings with my opinion of the item. An honest opinion is always a reasonable contribution.

Maybe I'm not fully comprehending what I am seeing here....
It has a fake phone attached to it? What's wrong with a regular coat wallet (aka breast pocket wallet, aka vest wallet) http://www.simplybagshop.com/lg_imag...otes-Brown.jpg https://img1.etsystatic.com/008/0/58...22563_lnl3.jpg |
I saw StoMos in person over the weekend, the cards and ID and money didn't double the width. I have an Ottercase on mine and it looked to be as thick. I put mine in my front pocket unless I'm using it - then again, I have it on vibrate and don't always pick up ...
|
Personally, I find an otter case too thick as well.

Needed the phone to take pic of the case. It's a phone case that closes like a book with slots for license, credit cards, some cash which is all I have a need to carry. Everything in one place. Some will say that's bad because if you lose it you lose your phone and credit cards. I say that's a benefit because you at least have the option of tracking the phone to recover everything. |
My wife has one for her 6 Plus that we found in a back alley in Dubai. She loves it. They aren't too common in the US, but there are many parts of the world where literally everyone uses this type of phone case. I wear my 5S naked because I don't like any bulk, so its not for me.
