Haven't viewed the entire thread, but it appears to be in reference to the outrage that occured with that very statement following the Ferguson incident. I believe the OP is expressing frustration that the assertion is not respected by those that proposed it due to the prevalence of black on black crime. Will go read through it, but on first glance, it seems just the opposite of racism.

did you happen to watch it through to the end?

Because the leading cause of death amongst young black males is... young black males. Until we can have an honest, open discourse about that, we will never even begin to understand it, much less stop it. Half-wits screaming "racist!" every time it comes up are the single biggest obstacle to accomplishing anything on this front.

If black lives matter, let's examine EVERYTHING that may be contributing to African-American morbidity and premature mortality.

If self-rightous white guilt matters more, let's shut down the conversation by screaming Racist.

Regardless, the massacre of Paris should have taught us all that freedom of speech includes stuff we find personally repugnant, racist or whatever.....

I thought Liberals were constantly preaching the need for an honest conversation about Race. What's dishonest about that thread? Are blacks killing one another at a disproportionately higher rate than other ethnic groups in this country? The unfortunate answer is undeniably yes. Are blacks aborting the next generation at disproportionately higher rate than other ethnic groups in this country? Again the unfortunate answer is undeniably yes. So what you are saying is that having an honest conversation about race is inherently Racist.

It's a shame that you are such a closed minded person. This attitude is not constructive and Eric Holder would call you a coward for such an attitude. Holder might even sic the Just-Us Department on your coward rear end if you are not careful.

This whole RACIST card is so Yesterday........Attitudes have improved 10,000% in my lifetime and some will never be happy......Time to move on; how did I end up in PARF anyway, I never visit here.......

The Race card will NEVER go away. Too much money made behind the use and abuse of that word.

There is always someone who wants to be protected from the free speech of others. That is well and fine...they can ignore that speech (or thread in this case). The problem is when they want to protect others from free speech by silencing those with opinions other than their's. The "race card" is just one of their tools. It is handy for those of a political bent...as it ends all discussion, racist or otherwise.

If you really want an answer on race, try asking your "good friend" Angela Davis if white lives matter. If her past actions are any indication, apparently not. Go troll somewhere else.

Are not threads like this the very reason we have the PARF forum?

He was obviously trying to get a bunch of OTers to go to PARF and trash the folks who post there...to perhaps win an argument that he could not himself. He was only partially successful (a few bit). It appears that most OT posters were not a gullible as he thought.

It is odd that many of the same folks that are quick to complain about political or religious posts in OT are often the very ones who make those posts. Similarly, many who insult those who post/debate in PARF and complain (in both OT and PARF) that PARF is a "cesspool" are the very ones who pop in and out of PARF, deliver a couple of insults to all and return to the relative safety of OT where they can cry foul if you disagree with them in any way (must be political or religious if it disturbs them). Frankly, those who can't stand the heat should stay out of the fire. If you want to debate an issue in PARF, why not keep it there? Most of the regulars have no problem doing so.

Somehow, I don't believe that forums who attract mostly black people are discussing how white on white crime is a problem at all. This is obviously a PARF discussion, which, is exactly why I stay out of that dim, den of degradation.

I just went over and read it. 10 out of 26 posts were primarily about PARF and the individuals posting on the thread, not about the OP.

Middle-class and educated black people talk about the same subject. I have two black friends. One is the head air traffic controller for a major US international airport, with his masters in aviation engineering. The other is a corporate lawyer for Verizon, and an MBA. Both make high six-figure salaries, work hard, pay their taxes, raise their children, and obey the laws. How to stop black-on-black crime and how to get black fathers to be responsible are the common conversations at all middle-class and educated black dinner tables.

I'm not one to enter a low-income black community, and I don't deny that there is more crime in black communities, but making broad generalizations about an entire race of people should go to PARF.
