Once you have played with a Porsche and BMW's, anything is cheap and easy / bargain in comparison.

If the motor had failed on the 05 Boxster I was looking at yer talking 10-15K easily, even with a swap. With the L28, looks like I could build a 300HP beast for < 3K |
Just love, love, love the early interiors as well.. Much more than the '77 (last one I owned).
I remember reading back in the day, the impressions of the badging design from the critics. Disjointed, no synergy, etc, etc. I always loved the different little details, thought they added a lot of character... |
Bad news! Your not gonna build a 300hp beast for under 3 grand. You can build a really fun 225hp motor for around that but once you start looking at 275-300hp it starts getting a little bit more. Call Dave Rebello (925) 754-4871 at Rebello Racing He can build you a heck of a good motor. If Jim does Not have a Shift knob I would bet that I do. I'm also a Weber dealer so if you need parts for them or rebuild kits let me know. That's a nice looking Datsun you got there.

Congrats on the Z! I have a 350Z and absolutely love it. Whenever I see one of the older models (which I love), I always tell my kids that's the grandfather of my car.

I get a little wonky when seasoned posters tease me with vintage cars and no pics. Super sweet rig. I'll be watching for updates. |
Awesome score! love those cars.

I would want to buy a JDM import motor to take apart and redo whilst I drive the TT- then when finished, swap it in. I'd be after a stock type rebuild with slightly upgraded turbos and factory ECU with just a flash or chip. Not radical, but drivable daily. rjp |

Looks great, nice score. I had 4 240s over the years, really fun cars.

Nice Z car, the early ones are just so very sweet. People always take the bar off the front.
Dig those wheels, Watanabe, maybe |
When I had my 71 240Z I got parts from these guys Z Car Parts.com -- Motorsport Auto -- Home
I have a owners manual for a 71 if you are interested. Dave |
Very nice! I have always love the old s30z's. If I ever had the chance to own one It would be converted to a G-Nose! With a L28 turbo motor.
