I would help him. Your delivery guys will like you a lot more if you help them out and don't treat them like slaves.

I had a volleyball that went FedEx and never got to it's new owner, they said it went down with a cargo jet in the South Pacific during a storm, I wonder where that ball is now ?

Yikes wolfe! Hope it was insured!
We had several plotters get ruined in shipping over the years, its almost impossible to safely ship something bulky and precision. |

I paid $5500 for this machine. The ex-distributor still had one in his garage. Some Youtube... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/l8b-O5p1Wsg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> However, plugging in an external monitor, does show it booting up. Thwe top case was removed to check for loose connections on the motherboard. http://www.wolfetone.com/winder/monitor.jpg Here's the bent up front face. http://www.wolfetone.com/winder/bend.jpg |

Love that movie. |
Does it still wind true and can you make do with the external monitor? See if you can collect from UPS and use it as is!

Well... it's semi-operational right now. It'll power up, I can log into the machine and create a test winding program. The traverse mechanism however is borked. Initially, it worked for a few seconds... then it made a noise, moved erratically, and stopped working. The traverse operates on a ball-screw mechanism powered by a motor... I'm wondering if the ball-screw got bent... |
