Lets Talk About Cognac

I'm a big scotch fan. At any one time I will have several on hand from various regions. On a whim I thought I would try some Cognac so I picked up some Courvoisier VSOP and found that I really like it. I'm amazed it was so good given how inexpensive it is. Any of you like Cognac? Any recommendations?

I like Kelt. It does have the added interesting fact of being shipped around the world in barrels before bottling.

KELT

Martell, and when you think about it, a $100 bottle of cognac compared to wine, is cheap!

Go with XO

Courvoisier Napoleon, to sip, or perhaps Remy XO. I always keep a cheap bottle around for adding to cheese fondue, and th occasional Champagne mixer, if someone asks...

@Bill - VS is for cooking! I use it in steak au poivre, French onion soup and stews. Martell Cordon Blue or XO is for sipping.

Agreed! You can even try some of the CA Cognacs for cooking.

How about sipping a little Armagnac instead?
