Picked up a new Porsche today!

Thuy and I were out doing a bit of shopping and when I laid eyes on this sleek silver beauty I knew I had to have it! Never thought I'd be able to afford a car of this caliber, but hey, you only live once right! Can't wait to really put it through its paces! :D

They have another really cool Porsche Lego set that is a race scene with two 911 Cup cars

Upgrades will be affordable...

porsche4life 03-01-2015 08:52 PM

That they will be Mike!

M.D. Holloway 03-01-2015 09:03 PM

We shouldn't give Wayne any ideas...next thing you know there will be all sorts of OEM and 1 off options along with a DIY section!

Who's driving, Sid or Thuy?

Mark Henry 03-02-2015 02:23 AM

Is that the US model or ROW?

Scuba Steve 03-02-2015 03:16 AM

Are you going to upgrade the ECU or leave it stock?

onewhippedpuppy 03-02-2015 03:38 AM

Dammit Sid, you're supposed to let the KIDS built it!

Tobra 03-02-2015 08:34 AM

Oh I gotta have that

fastfredracing 03-02-2015 08:39 AM

I'll bet maintenance on that will be a snap

bivenator 03-02-2015 09:28 AM

Did my kids show you how to place the lego for maximum damage? The last step from the stairs to the floor for a good hard stomp on a lego is sure to produce some new vocabulary words.

You've seen how many legos the kids have! Daddy needs his own toys!

Oh I learned it from our boys. They usually place a hotwheel halfway up too so you are already hobbling and stumbling when you get to the bottom. Crafty little ****s!

What's the scale of that beauty? If it's close to 1/18, I may just need to add it to my collection!

porsche4life 03-02-2015 11:33 AM

It's somewhere close to 1/24 maybe? Here it is on my 15" MacBook. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...448efefa39.jpg

Slate gray? What kind of oil do you plan to use?

Don Plumley 03-02-2015 05:22 PM

Too Cool! I look for it on Amazon, a bit more pricey, so I went to Toys R Us.com and picked one up for my desk. There's a promo for $5 off for Lego Orders more than $25, so I got two and with shipping and tax only about $16 each. Screaming deal.
