If Snowden Returns To The US?

What should happen to Snowden if he returns to the US?

I'd like to shoot him in the head, but that probably won't be an option.

Tattoo "Mohammed eats bacon!" on his forehead and drop him by parachute into ISIS-held territory.

fintstone 03-04-2015 04:36 AM

Execute him.

The line forms to the left.....

I'd like to see him return to the US and stand trial. But, only if the trial is broadcast on TV or the Internet unedited. It would be a be an interesting time to gauge the public sentiment on privacy and security.

javadog 03-04-2015 04:45 AM

I'm not a dirtbag, so I couldn't care less if big brother was reading my emails, or listening to my phone calls. I'd rather catch the Muslim ****heads before they get any traction, so I'm going to come down in favor of national security over personal privacy. Way, way in favor...

One shot each, maybe you'll only maim him.

javadog 03-04-2015 04:54 AM

For a fee, payable in cash, I would only shoot out a knee or two, so you could have your turn.'

If he is pronounced guilty by a judge/jury, publicize his hanging and have a live TV feed for anyone else feeling the need to cross the U.S.

pcardude 03-04-2015 05:10 AM

50% of the country thinks he is a hero.

yazhound 03-04-2015 05:21 AM

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

How soon we forget. You all may feel like liberty is unimportant but I do not. Thoughts and actions unless a priori illegal or just plan illegal require warrants. Same folks moan about the second amendment happy to toss away the others? Erosion of one makes for more easy erosion of others in the face of somebody's idea of justified expediency. NO SIR! Wrong is wrong. And who is this somebody? Fervent minded government functionary? Wisened "I know what's best" type?

And in truth intell overload can be as bad as intell shortage depending on the means for sorting and collating the information.

I suspect Snowden believes, or at least believed at the time, that his actions were patriotic. It's that which many Americans agree with, versus seeing him as a hero.

While some apparently want him summarily executed, I think the vast majority of Constitution-respecting Americans would, for a variety of reasons, rather see this go to trial.

nota 03-04-2015 05:30 AM

I wish we had more people like him

and less of those who want to kill him

I think that would be a better way to live free

I think you are wrong. We want to see him tried and then executed.

Norm K 03-04-2015 05:39 AM

Then you should've said so.

The crazy thing is that, were he not a contractor, he would have been protected under the federal whistleblower law. He's only on the lam because he wasn't a federal employee.

I think sometimes we cling to ideals and shoot ourselves in the foot. The constitution was a fine document for its time but the reality is that our world is a vastly different place now and the ****heads don't play by the same rules we do. You can aspire to live free, in an idealistic sort of way, or live in the real world.

I don't notice any instrusion in my life, so I see no downside to the NSA doing what they are tasked to do.

Blah blah blah... really? Just unimportant words on a page?

So screw the Constitution? Sela... ? Who decides? Yeah, right now you notice nothing. What of later? Or decades from now? Your want you kids herded like sheep because of gov't expediency? Or does the future of our country not matter to you?

Are you a second amendment guy? The argument has been made many times over that it should evolve as the forefathers had no expectations of modern weaponry....
