The dorm room poster is predicting sports car's value

Funny and amazing spin on the sports car escalating values.

That is high for a "run of the mill" SC (noting against the SC owners as I am one!) but I met a guy who paid $60k + for an '83 Cabriolet. They have gone up dramatically.

$37k for an SC? If I could get that kind of scratch for my SC I would sell it right now and buy a Cayman S.

I'm sure those numbers are based of cars sold at high end auctions like Barrett and Mecum. Low mileage, car collection types, not driver quality cars.

Heh, 37K in Norway won't get you a shabby SC these days. Ask me how I know!

I've heard values are inversely proportional to your height. Targa drivers are abnormally tall, among other things.

Richy-Rich. I am 7' 6". Too many other issues to mention.

Off topic......

You think this will buff out or should I preserve the patina?

Hey Bob, preserve the patina...rat rod. Was that a sugar ring or H4? If I lived close I'd be at your house every day with Tim ( seems to follow me where ever I go) helping you out, over beer and pizza. Hound too!

Yeah, I think I paid $4 bucks for a plug from Pelican.

SCs were never $23K in 2010 and they certainly aren't $37K now.

Change SC to G50 coupes and that's about right.

Bob, are you really that tall?

My 17 year old son is 6'7" and 220lbs, he is in another world when it comes to cars and riding in airliners!

The picture of the infamous, "launching targa top" poster was taken as that car executed a 5mph corner - the tub's "tuned flex" was just too much for that poor ole' top!
