Wheels by Fuchs for the Bloodhound

An interesting article about the problems and difficulty of making the wheels the British Bloodhound will use when attempting to break 1000 MPH for a land speed record. Fuchs has been tasked with casting and forging the rather special aluminum alloy wheels.

Mad truck operator skills!

Really cool! I was surprised that such an un-automated process was used to position the billet as it was formed. Looking forward to seeing more about this.
