Green Spot Irish whiskey? Anyone?
Gets awesome reviews. I've heard about it before. Just didn't think a local Costco would carry any. The booze guy said they only got 100 bottles. I got one.
I'll wait until my brother shows up next weekend to crack it open. Anyone? Single pot. Need to google that.

I haven't tried that one but it shows up here with pretty good reviews:
Whiskey/Whisky Ratings and Tasting Notes - L.A.W.S. That website has made me spend quite a bit of money, I have found some great bottles based on their reviews. Nice to be able to sort and filter the way you want.

I researched the best Irish whiskey a few years ago on a whim and ended up buying two bottles of Green Spot. It was awesome. It might not be the best, but every conversation seems to have it in the top three. As far as my uneducated taste goes, it was as good as it gets.
I'm surprised that Costco had any. It used to be a cult whiskey that was only available from two retailers in Ireland. About five years ago it started being imported to the US. It's easier to get now that you can order on line, but it's not a particularly easy brand to find. |

This is all they had left. My Costco didn't get any, so I texted a friend. He pounced on a few. One for me. ![]()
