spring is here.... (where's that green font?")

forgot this in the car overnight.

onlycafe 03-21-2015 02:42 PM

how do you remove half a set of quotation marks from the header?

Rick V 03-21-2015 02:43 PM

It is a strange spring, it is thirty degrees warmer here than just a two hour drive north, and I am in the foothills so it shouldn't be like this, but I am enjoying it

oldE 03-21-2015 03:03 PM

I don't think you can edit headers. Sorry.

Hey! You can see the wall and the windows of the building in the background!
There IS a Spring!

It is still above freezing out there (8 PM) and the Atlantic side of Nova Scotia seems to be getting dumped on once again.
If we suddenly get a lot of rain to melt all this snow. We're going to have a lot of wet basements.

Hang in there.

We need RAIN here.

Otherwise, no complaints. In the 70s, ran in tshirt and shorts, BBQ for the family and ate outside in the shade.

No... keep the spring heat away please! I need to relocate the dehumidifier in the attic and run some wiring to the master bedroom still. There are also two elm trees to plant, some fence to be replaced and landscaping to put in. THEN maybe I'll open up to warmer temperatures outside.

Crowbob 03-22-2015 02:37 AM

+14 F here.

70s here, I'm going to have to mow the yard soon. I think winter may be over, thank God. I'm going to Chicago on Monday where it's 34 and snow, so I'll be happy to come home.

pete3799 03-22-2015 04:00 AM

40's and snow flurries yesterday.
8 degrees this morning.

Spring is here.........

Yep, spring is here! 80 degrees yesterday with blue skies! Took the SC out for a bit of a spin with windows and sunroof wide open! Later, I worked on the pool for a while getting it ready for swimming season. While I have spent time in the northeast and enjoyed the scenery and folks that I met, I like the weather here better, thank you!

widgeon13 03-22-2015 01:32 PM

It's just disgusting!

GH85Carrera 03-22-2015 01:46 PM

It was mid 70s here today and I cleaned the AC compressor. The condenser was filthy and lots of leaves inside the unit. This unit is a royal pain in the butt to get apart enough to clean it. Actually taking it apart is not that bad but putting it together is the hard part. It is ready for spring and I am too.

90 and sunny here in AZ. ;)

devodave 03-22-2015 05:26 PM

I'm getting really tired of this now!

1" new snow today (after finally seeing at least 25% of the grass) and highs around 25 F. Lows for the next two nights might dip into the lower teens. It's gotta end soon!

Scuba Steve 03-23-2015 02:17 AM

I'm "enjoying" it while it's cool. The wiring for the whole house dehumidifier is in, this afternoon I need to move it where it needs to go, take care of the ducting and figure out what I need to run the drain. Give me just a few cool, cloudy days more...

pete3799 03-23-2015 02:58 AM

Zero this morning with a dusting of snow............anybody want to borrow my lawn mower.
Won't need it any time soon.

widgeon13 03-23-2015 04:09 AM

Four degrees w/ 12 MPH wind making it feel like, well just ****ing COLD!

wdfifteen 03-23-2015 04:36 AM

I turned on the water to my detached, unheated garage last week. Woke up this morning and it was 24 degrees. I ran out in a panic and drained the pipes - fortunately before they froze. It's supposed to be 65 again Wednesday, but snow today and low 20s again tonight. This winter seems to have lasted forever.

flipper35 03-23-2015 11:11 AM

From this morning:

The National Weather Service measured 15 inches of snow in the Grant County, Wisconsin community of Fennimore and 13 inches in neighboring Crawford County. Decorah, Iowa was dealing with 11 1/2 inches of snow.

onewhippedpuppy 03-23-2015 11:15 AM

I spent the entire day at the Minneapolis airport due to cancelled and delayed flights into Chicago thanks to snow and ice. I hate winter.

No joke, and between cancellations and delays I had to hoof it to multiple gates. Fun stuff.

Rick V 03-23-2015 02:26 PM

A few years back I had one hour to make a connection flight there, I arrived at one corner of the horse shoe and my flight out was at the other end, Yeah I was O.J. through the place

flatbutt 03-23-2015 02:35 PM

We're in a daily freeze thaw cycle here. That's better than a constant freeze!

I'm hoping that everything south of here stays free and clear of winter starting real soon. I'm hoping to make a bike run for the MotoGP in Austin. Any travel advisories from jersey south to Virginia, then west thru Tennesse would be appreciated.

Rick V 03-23-2015 03:00 PM

Your good to go in Va, maybe rain, winter is done here in The Old Dominion

flatbutt 03-23-2015 03:03 PM

Rain I can do...tks...SmileWavy

I think they have a tram across the top of the U. I did an L and then some, which still took a while.

ckelly78z 03-23-2015 05:26 PM

The weather forecast for today was scattered flurries. 2:00 in the afternoon rolls around and it starts snowing, it's still snowing hard at 9:30....might stop by morning after 2-3" are on the ground. BAH HUMBUG !

wdfifteen 07-09-2015 04:35 AM

It hasn't snowed here in SW Ohio since March. It's only rained twice. The first time was from May 1 to June 15 and the second time was June 17 to July 9.

ckelly78z 07-09-2015 05:44 AM

WD, ya left out a day in the middle there....I type this as it dumps another 1.5" of rain on us (1.5" on Tuesday also) and had to drive through water a foot deep at the intersection in front of work.

vash 07-09-2015 08:13 AM
