GM leaking power steering hose

Why can't GM build a power steering hose that won't leak? At just over 50,000 miles I replaced the high pressure power steering hose (just over warrantee) on my 08 truck. Now two years later it's leaking again and needs to be replaced. I used a stop leak oil and it seemed to have worked for now. I put 5 power steering hoses (sometimes replacing sets) on my 98 Chevy truck in the 10 years I owned it.

Do other manufactures have this same problem?

Just wait until the electrical starts acting up...

That already happened. Had to replace every switch in the drivers door. Command start quit just before Christmas and that triggered the GM security system. Door switches and the other fixes was $1,250.

Sorry, man. I was just messin' with you.

I feel your pain although at a lesser extent.

Np. Your thread about electrical problems made me want to ask about power steering hoses and I didn't want to highjack your thread.

Only pain was my bank account being lowered. :)

My Isuzu uses the same hose. Last time it leaked, I sent it out to a specialty shop here and had them make me a line. Hasnt leaked since.

The garage that replaced it last time had one made up. According to them they last longer.
