I've got a new project
My dad brought this old girl new in 1973 - Honda CB125.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427626769.jpg He's finally decided its time to hang up his helmet for the last time (last ride this morning), and I'm taking her home in the morning to restore. |
Nice Jeff.
I bought an XL250 brand new in 73. First new anything I ever bought.......still have it and still ride it. Have fun with it. |
Nice Pete.
The old man has let the weather get to her the last couple of years. It's gunna take a while to do, but I'm looking forward to it (labour of love). |
Looks like great fun, Jeff. SmileWavy

Cheers Jim

That's great, J
We'll need a detailed pictorial analysis, of course, so we can see what you have in front of you, and updates along the way, "just to keep you motivated, you know!" (It looks like it had easy miles - but just got weatherized? Front tire original?) (Edit - spoke too soon - dented tank?) |
It looks like a fun project, especially since it's already running.
|
Of course I dig it!!

Yes indeed. A Honda 125 was quite the bike back in the early '70s. Cool that it's stayed in the family.
This is my Honda 125 Elsinore back in 1974. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427662179.jpg |
ATGATT :D

I had to google that.
Actually I did fall off at about 50mph in boardshorts and T. LOL I've still got the scars on my back. |
I didn't know you were Jimmy Page. Or did you just have his hair? ;)
|
LOL. It was that hair cut or another we called the German Army Helmet.

Longer wheelbase, lights, etc.... I had almost forgotten they made those! |

Yup, I think Jeff's dad's one with the four stroke engine was the better of the two. |
