It's the little things in life ........

I wear flip-flops pretty much exclusively from thanksgiving til easter, cept at work. There I gotta wear steel toed work shoes.
With socks.

And for as long as I can remember, I've worn white socks that were too darned small for me feets.
You know those ones that say fits size 7 to 12?
Well they don't fit my 13+s worth a darn. But that's the only size I ever saw at the department store so it was what it was.
Until TODAY!!!!!!!!

I went on e-bay several days ago and lo and behold, they sell socks in the XL range that actually fit my feet!
I ordered 12 pair of kirkland XL crew socks and this morning i enjoyed the feeling of putting on socks that did not cut off the circulation in my feet and that I did not have to stretch the crap out of to get on.
No more 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bag makes it easier to get up at 4 in the morning

No, it don't take much to make me happy.

I have size 11 feet and have no problem with socks, my son is only 16 and has size 14 feet. We can still occasionally find shows that fit, but imagine in the future, he will have to order.

Most folks here wear work boots but since i'm an office troll 95% of the time I wear regular ole steel toad work shows

I suppose I could flash back to the 70's and wear harness boots .... anyone remember them?

On second thought .... naw.

Ah yes, I remember those. In the early 70s I went for a pair of Fry's just like that but without the harness ring, etc. I was very unhip and out of style, but I can still wear them today and not look like a dweeb.

There are a few out there. I have a pair of Double-H boots with oil-resistant rubber soles. They held up well until I ended up knee deep in a mud pit during horse stall plumbing adventure. They shrank a bit and I can't fit in them anymore. I also have a pair of Ariats that I bought before I found out they were made in China. Those haven't held up so well.

LOL yup, in the early 70's we had to wear those boots with jeans that were split and frayed partway up the seam to fit over the boots, just to stay out of fights

Harness boots are SO back in style here in the PNW. I had engineers boots that were similar in HS in the '70's.
I'm sz 14-15, so shoes and socks are a huge hassle. Kirkland is Costco, which is also what I wear as every day socks.

I wear footwear that is oversized and comfortable. And always wear big socks too.

Here are my new size 13 ugg boots being checked out. I call them Cossack boots because it sounds more manly

Mason Shoe. 398 styles in size 14

Search Results on 'Mens+14+' | BA Mason |

They make them up to size 17 (in not as many styles)

Size 12 here. I can relate as my socks barely fit! Have bought lots of socks over the past year - some on eBay too - excellent resource!

Socks............

Try a pair of "Smart Wool" socks. They are cool in the summer and warm in the winter, wear like iron and come in the big boy sizes. I have found that they will outlast regular socks by quite a bit.

Also, plus one on the Smart Wool socks. I have a bit of a "sock thing" and tend to collect cycling socks but when I'm not wearing those, it's Smart Wool all the time. Even in the summer.
