Website for hiring services where they bid?

Hi,

Did a quick google search and didn't find the one I was thinking of. I came across a site maybe last year where you could put in what you wanted- anything from web design, graphic design and even Facebook friends and multiple people would bid for your business.

In particular, I was looking to get a logo designed.

Anyone has any links?

Thanks,
Rutager

Elance or Odesk are the big two - now merged. Elance tended for smaller projects, ODesk was for larger jobs. https://www.elance.com/

eLance is good for bidding out work. If someone wants the $ for the job (at your price) they'll take it.

Funds are put in escrow so if the work is bad you don't pay.

Looks like some good leads guys, thanks.

I'm thinking about maybe making some woodworking tools and wanted to get a logo designed that I could have laser engraved on them and at some use on a website etc.

For logos check out designcrowd. The host a competition between designers based on the suggestions you provide.

Mark,

Right now they are just ideas. I did however just finish a couple hand tools using cocobolo and brass, I may post those when I get around to taking a picture.

Still looking for the specific site I saw, it was kind of wacky in that there were many different services including hiring good looking folks to help with your Facebook stats or however that works- not on Facebook, but if I was, I would probably need to hire them!

These design links are great, please keep them coming, maybe we'll find the one I saw and we can all get a good laugh or a fake friend!

Make sure the designer signs over all rights in perpetuity, and also hands over the design files. I use a guy who charges around $200 for a logo, and he's quick.

Logotournament.com for ehh, logos.

I used Logo Design, Web Design & Graphic Design Crowdsourcing | DesignCrowd and was very happy with the designs I got. Its all about how much guidance you give them. I gave them several logos I liked, what colors I wanted and its intended uses and they kicked out some good stuff. I had like 35 to choose from. Asked for some tweaks to the ones I liked and got a great logo.

^ That site says you have full copyrights to the design. Very important. Can't stress this enough.
