unimaginable

On one side were hulking football players and pro wrestlers, competing as teams of two to eat as many pounds of steak as they could, combined, in one hour.

On another was a lone 124-pound mother of four.

And sure enough, in the end, Sunday's contest at Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, wasn't even close. Molly Schuyler scarfed down three 72-ounce steaks, three baked potatoes, three side salads, three rolls and three shrimp cocktails -- far outpacing her heftier rivals.

That's more than 13 pounds of steak, not counting the sides. And she did it all in 20 minutes, setting a record in the process.

"We've been doing this contest since 1960, and in all that time we've never had anybody come in to actually eat that many steaks at one time," Bobby Lee, who co-owns the Big Texan, told CNN affiliate KVII. "So this is a first for us, and after 55 years of it, it's a big deal."

There is a video of her chowing down. I don't think a wolf can eat that fast!:eek:

I find the resulting blockage unimaginable.

Congrats, gentlemen. 2/2 on the responses.

Also: not a very surprising result to anyone who's seen the hot dog eating contests. It's always the little guy, somehow.

At her weight, she could do an eating contest once a week for free (probably even win a decent prize money), and just drink water the rest of the time. My gosh, can you imagine trying to digest and "move" all that food ?

I hope she was drinking coffee laced with Metamucil during the contest and chain smoking afterwards.

It seems that smaller people do well in these things. The young small 130 lb japanese guy used to smoke everyone in the coney island hotdog contest because his stomach could stretch outward unhindered, while the fat guys were restricted because the outer layer of flap wouldn't their stomachs expand. Makes sense i guess.

Back in the olden days when I was dating I had more than a few dates order a steak and then eat two bites and claim they were full. Invariably they had ordered it well done so it was worthless as leftovers. At least this chick would eat all of her steak dinner!

My wife and I had an FFA banquet for my son last night and we sat across from some tiny 110 lb petite Mother who picked at her food and barely ate anything. It would be refreshing to go out with someone who could get thier money's worth at a buffet as long as they could work it off later.

That woman has nothing on my 95lb wife. She could make a truck driver blush.

DonDavis 04-22-2015 11:05 AM

But did she keep it all "on board"?

BlueSkyJaunte 04-22-2015 11:25 AM

Got to give her a break, she's eating for five.

My friends went to a Vegas buffet and discovered filet mignon in the offerings... JACKPOT! So of course they stuffed themselves with the fine beef... stories of the aftermath are legendary.
