My New Watch

I have mislaid my trusty Seiko automatic diver. It is around somewhere. But I can't find it right now. So I am wearing a new watch.

Don Ro 04-24-2015 08:47 PM

I'm sitting here naked.

jyl 04-24-2015 09:21 PM

My new watch can measure my heart rate.

Don Ro 04-24-2015 09:23 PM

I can feel my heart rate in my dong.
.
Come to think of it...you probably get more use out of your new watch than I out of my dong.
So you win.

;)

jyl 04-24-2015 09:30 PM

It's settings are controlled by turning the crown.

Don Ro 04-24-2015 09:33 PM

Well now, I just can't compete with that.
Wait! Hang on...stay tuned.

aigel 04-24-2015 09:54 PM

^ LOL Don!

You can also share the heart rate in your dong with others ... just not remotely.

Bring it on JYL --- you are the first person I know who actually has one. Even the apple guys I know are waiting.

You guessed it!

Vintage Seiko Automatic Chronograph with Pulsometer internal bezel (for measuring pulse) rotated by turning the crown.

A favorite of doctors back in the day.

I really didn't guess it - I just thought you were full of it, having one this early and then posting on a separate thread from the Apple watch thread. Who knows, I though there is a chance you are well connected - to geriatric doctors, apparently! :) Thanks for the good laugh. And I learned something - never seen an old school pulse watch like this. Brilliant! Extra points for the band!

Those base 10 pulsations from jyl's watch are getting me excited.

If our dongs have a mind of their own do they have their own heart too?

mreid 04-25-2015 06:30 AM

Mine can tell the time on a sunny day.

Pfft! everyone knows the tachometer watches are the bees knees

I bought (what I thought at the time) was my ultimate watch, a Citizen eco-drive night hawk slide rule... super cool looking... but the face was so busy I couldn't read the dang thing! Ended up selling it :(

I have a very nice chronograph that my wife gave to me as a wedding present. Last year she asked me why I didn't wear it much any more. Had to admit that for some reason, the lettering on the face keeps shrinking. Haven't even washed it (which might have caused it to shrink). Sure is a lot harder to read than when she gave it to me.

My dong can tell time. It wakes me up every morning!

jyl 04-25-2015 07:34 AM

And it's a sundial too!

I took my $11.95 watch ( I had mastered the buttons) off when I retired.
I miss it when I want to know what day of the week it is.
