CA road trip to buy a car and bike
Many thanks to Denis (aka Speeder) for providing great door to door service and selling me a vehicle well preserved and presented as described.
I was perusing threads a few weeks back and tripped over him mentioning selling his Dad's RX330. While not in the market, I knew I'd be looking for a smaller SUV in a year or so. A 2005 with 49,000 miles peeked my interest. Long story short, I flew into LA last Friday, was picked up at the airport, treated to coffee, a mini tour of LA, car wash and great conversation! The Lexus is so nice and the drive home to Spokane WA was fun and memorable. I was able to see and stay with an old friend in Menlo Park on Friday night, picked up a used TREK Madone Project One bike in Davis I'd seen on CL on Saturday and made it home at 1pm Sunday, tired but fullfilled and a bit lighter in the wallet :-) The car after the wash  Rest Stop on 97 - beautiful sunset  Mt. Shasta  Tucked in for the night in Bend OR - hotel was very sketchy. I should have spent the extra $50 to get a room where there wasn't all night activity happening in the rooms next door :-(  Safely home with the lightning fast blind dog checking out the new rides

I tried to buy/trade for that car a while ago...circumstances were different for the estate of Denis' Dad at that time and we just couldn't made it work.
You got a great car. Funny, I was in Davis, Sac and the mountains Saturday as well.

Denis is a great guy. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. This is my second long distance success buying a great machine from someone I don't know but get a sense of over the interwebs. The experience and meeting cool people has greatly enhanced the experience. The Lexus is simply in stunning condition for a 10+ year old vehicle. Knock on the wood rimmed steering wheel.
