Excellent, Fred, thanks.

The good news is that the Moro Rebellion in Maryland has been quelled.

Whew!

Tabs is correct about the cartridge for your revolver. The good news is that 38 Long Colt and 38 Short Colt are both fairly easy to find. Expect to pay about $40 per box of 50. It wasn't until 1904 that Colt started offering these guns made for the 38 Special round. That was the year that Colt brought out the Officers Model (April, 1904). At that time, Colt reduced the bore diameter to work with the 38 Specials smaller diameter bullet and changed the cylinder from being bored straight thru to one with a reduced diameter lip at the front of the cylinder. At any rate, you have a nice example of an early DA Colt that you really don't want to damage! Good luck and happy shooting!

One of the things that stopped the Moro (muslim) rebellion was an action by "Black Jack" Pershing. His men had caught several of the Moros and had them under guard. Pershing had his men execute most of them and had the bodies buried with a bunch of butchered pigs while the others watched. He then let the remaining Moros go to tell what had happened. After that, he did not have many problems with them in his area! Later Pershing became a general and became famous for his actions during WWI.

All true.

I was referencing the Great Tabulla in my reference to the Moros, btw...Tabs has never walked away from an opportunity to imitate Ignatius Jacques Reilly ("slob extraordinary, a mad Oliver Hardy, a fat Don Quixote, a perverse Thomas Aquinas rolled into one."...Walker Percy).

You were very helpful in my recent ammunition purchases, Fred. I should be shooting at my range this weekend!

So did you ever get your water back?

In the room, with the two timer.

Refreshing:cool:

I'd do it again.

In vegas?

Tripper: You goin' to Vegas? If you're going to Vegas, I would be up for it because I love that town. I'm a party guy. I love that town.

Man this dude's all over the place.

Got the guns home in my checked luggage. Complete no brainer.

Decided to shoot them both this afternoon.

I have my own range so the commute is good. Range first, guns, then my son shooting.

The .38 revolver in Long Colt is a very beautiful, well crafted gun. Amazing, really, to hold 114 years of history in your hand. Unfortunately, I can hock a loogie damn near as fast as the .38 LC goes down range.

The Commander, at least in my sons hands, made the targets wish they weren't.
