Someone on this board just sent me a huge box of fun stuff he thought I'd maybe like and he did it because he's just a darn nice guy. Everyone on this board knows him and I don't think I've ever read one bad word about him or anything he's ever done... He and I are BBS buddies, and I seriously doubt if I'm the only one that he takes the time to reach out to with PM's and kind words.
This gift came as a total surprise, and I wasn't expecting it in the least. It rivals anything from the Christmas gift exchange, and believe me, I've had some very nice gifts from my Secret Santa's.

Anyway, I want to pay it forward a little bit. I was just about to Craigslist a pair of barely used Pilotis, but instead, I've decided to send them to someone on this board who will get some use out of them, somehow, someway. If he or she wants to use them or pass them along or sell them, it will be up to them.

I would ask that that person do something nice and unexpected to someone else along the line as a way to pay forward the camaraderie that many of us on this board enjoy 'most every day. SmileWavy

Here are the specifics.

The shoes are Piloti Mulholland II, Black suede, blue mesh and orange liner.
Size 11, and they fit me well, but be advised, I wear 10.5 normally, so if you're a true size 11 they might squeeze you a little.
They are really practically like almost new. I never really bonded with 'em, and now they need to find a home.

PM me JUST YOUR SCREEN NAME. If more than one person PM's I want to give everyone who has an interest a fair shake, so I'll just number the PM's and sometime tomorrow afternoon I'll pull one of the numbers out of a hat and send that person a PM and he can give me his addy. I'll take care of shipping. (Edit! Lower 48 only. Sorry about that. I have to be practical!) If your name is pulled, you get shoes.

WOW :(....I sometimes go on an extended hiatus from PPOT, and missed this....very sorry Fred...sadness here. This place is awesome, and I (and probably others) am "guessing" who the sender might be. I've got a pretty good guess, but I'm not gonna name names....too many GREAT people on this board to single out an individual, and I'm sure they didn't do it for recognition either.

This is a very special place. I've met Pelicans all over the USA, every one has been a great guy and I've always enjoyed the experience. When I was laid off last year and considered moving to Phoenix, the outpouring of support and assistance was incredible. Even my wife commented that she felt better about moving due to the advice and support of Phoenix area Pelicans.

Well - "We're all in this together." - and that's the truth!

Fellowship is important.

I value my relationships here and truly appreciate that many have stepped up with advice when needed.
