I hope so.

I get about 20 sun spots burnt off and a couple cut out each year, so this may be happening just in time for me LOL

It won't take long for the green machine to discredit this report to make sure their money train doesn't slow down.

I'm very concerned for Al Gore, how will he make his money now?

He should be rich already, you know, having invented the internet and all

LOL

Lots of ignorance on display every time there's a discussion about the environment.

The ozone layer is not related to hybrids or Al Gore.

The Main Ozone-Depleting Substances (ODS)

Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)
The most widely used ODS, accounting for over 80% of total stratospheric ozone depletion.
Used as coolants in refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners in buildings and cars manufactured before 1995.
Found in industrial solvents, dry-cleaning agents and hospital sterilants.
Also used in foam products — such as soft-foam padding (e.g. cushions and mattresses) and rigid foam (e.g. home insulation).
Halons
Used in some fire extinguishers, in cases where materials and equipment would be destroyed by water or other fire extinguisher chemicals. In B.C., halons cause greater damage to the ozone layer than do CFCs from automobile air conditioners.
Methyl Chloroform
Used mainly in industry — for vapour degreasing, some aerosols, cold cleaning, adhesives and chemical processing.
Carbon Tetrachloride
Used in solvents and some fire extinguishers.
Hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs)
HCFCs have become major, “transitional” substitutes for CFCs. They are much less harmful to stratospheric ozone than CFCs are. But HCFCs they still cause some ozone destruction and are potent greenhouse gases.

Everything environmental is related to Al Gore, just ask him!

Techweenie is right and showing his age.
The ozone was when we worried about global cooling and we would lose the greenhouse effect if the ozone layer got diminished. The 1970’s Global Cooling Compilation – looks much like today | Watts Up With That?
So now that we are in the days of worrying about global warming, I let out as much CFC from old car A/c 's and hairspray is important and use styrofoam cups as much as possible to do my part in ripping a bigger hole in the ozone to help with stopping global warming, We have got to do our part!
Of course I support using whale oil, the renewable natural resource, instead of petroleum. Because for every whale that is killed, we not only get the oil but we eliminate another global warming CO2 gas producer.
Life is complicated and knowing what to do for the latest fear is tough. But dog gone it I am on it!!
